Peppermint Predicaments (entry no.41)

I'm backkkkk. Now feeling much happier and lighter since I wrapped up my third semester of college two days ago. Everything went well in my final week but chaos reigned the week before. To start things off on week 13, my computer broke down. And I mean COMPLETELY broke down. To the point that it is still at the computer repair shop more than a week later. This is especially frustrating because it literally just turned a year old so how is it possible that it has busted to this extent. Then, two days after my computer broke I got my schedule for my final semester of college and it is AWFUL. I now have to go to school every day and have some ridiculous class times like 6-9 pm on Mondays and 2-6 on Fridays (yes again!). This is despite the fact that I spend three hours waiting in line at my college to talk to someone to change just ONE of my classes to make it more manageable.

However, I have now come to terms with this series of unfortunate events and am now determined to make the most of my three weeks off before the semester starts. That being said, I got to spend my morning outside today in the chilly weather and it was lovely. Winter is my favorite season and today was perfectly crisp and cold with a sunny blue sky. I love the coolness of my face in the winter and that rosy shade of pink when you're outside for too long. While I'm off of school, I'm also hoping I'll be able to sleep in a little since my brain is currently wired to wake me up around 5:30 every morning. Tis the life of a college student with 8:00 am classes three days a week. Speaking of the word "tis", tis also the season of peppermint hot chocolates! I am OBSESSED with peppermint hot chocolates, the obsession is just as bad as my $1 summer drink days ice coffee obsession at McDonald's.

But it breaks my heart to say that the hot chocolate machines at all McDonald's in the GTA are currently on recall. So alas I must simply deal with my peppermint hot chocolate cravings as I wait for the machines to be up and running again at McDonald's... I'm sure my wallet will thank me. I strongly believe that peppermint is superior to pumpkin spice (Starbucks girlies please don't come at me). I mean what even is pumpkin spice? Spice from a pumpkin? Make it make sense. Also why can't candy canes be a year round thing? Why are they only a winter thing? And who decided that peppermint was the flavor of winter, I mean, I 100% agree with them but how did they come to that conclusion? Fun fact about me, candy canes are my absolute favorite type of hard candy, so much so that I buy a giant pack every winter to get me through the year.

Which reminds me that 2025 is less than 3 weeks away! I guess time flies when you're drowning in college homework. But April is now closer than ever, and though my determination wavers from time to time I keep taking steps forward. I guess in the end that's what matters most, that we keep moving forward. I knew this entry was gonna serve more as a catch up than anything else but I will be back soon to talk some more. I wanna dedicate a whole entry to my Spotify Wrapped as well as one for "Wicked" (Part 1) because that movie was everything I wanted it to be and more. I also wanted to talk a little bit about the book challenge I will be participating in next year. Cuz if all goes according to plan, I might even add a little book log section at the end of my future entries in 2025. Thanks for tunning in on my chaotic life and coming back to read these entries even though they are now being posted with such large gaps in between. My first entry is almost at 100 views! I'm so proud of this blog's journey and hope you all continue to tune in for a long long time.

You're still here? Meet me at entry no.42 :)
