Can they go all the way? (entry no.29)
Bruh, I thought it had been ages since I last wrote an entry but I now see that it's literally only been three days. That being said, because I thought I hadn't written an entry in a while, I was going to write one last night but I was way to tired to write more than a couple sentences. I ended up deleting that little entry because I refuse to write these in more than one sitting session. The Abby who wrote last night is different from the Abby today and has different things on her mind so the entry would be incohesive if it was written in two sessions. For example, today I am thinking about getting my hair trimmed in a month or so. I want it a little shorter with some layers. Maybe I'll get it done at the end of the month, what can I say I'm a sucker for short hair.
Today I had to walk to work, it takes me about 30 minutes and I genuinely don't mind the walk since I have my comfy Bluetooth headphones and awesome playlists to accompany me. However, it does leave me feeling very tired at the end of my shift, especially for my later and shorter shifts like today's; 4:30-9:30. During that time that I am clocked in, I only get one 10 minute break which definitely catches up to me towards the end of the night when I start slowing down and the customers keep coming. As I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, I am a cashier at a grocery store and since it's a little more high-end we actually bag the customers' groceries.
I actually enjoy bagging groceries, it feels like a satisfying game of real-life Tetris. However, it is currently the season for honeydew, cantaloupe, and watermelons, there are soooooooo many people buying them and the majority want them in bags. My poor arms get so tense and sore after a while of individually bagging four melons or more back to back. But it ended up being a good thing that I started work today at 4:30 because it gave me the chance to watch all of the Germany vs Spain game today at 12:00. It was pretty epic not gonna lie. And it was even more epic to make myself snacks for the game and have them all to myself as I sat in front of the TV in my pjs.
Spain has been playing phenomenally well. They face France in the semi-finals and I genuinely believe that they will beat them. Meanwhile, on the other side of the bracket I really think that it will be Netherlands against England in the semi-finals. England is my team, where Bukayo Saka goes I follow. But I have to admit that Gareth Southgate's team has seen better days. Saka played left back... need I say more. Their game tomorrow against Switzerland will determine whether or not England can go all the way to the finals. But even if they make it, there is no way they are defeating Spain or France on the other side. I know I sound like a pessimist but I'm just being realistic. Time will tell I suppose, in the end it always does.
You're still here? Meet me at entry no.30 :)
