Don't Worry I Found the Ring (entry no.15)
I wanted to write another entry sooner but in typical Abby fashion I was too busy. I've been working longer shifts at work since I'm done school for the next four months and I have a bunch of other weekly commitments that put this blog on the back burner. I got up at 5:30 am today and have been on the go until 11:00 pm. Now at 12:30 am I finally have time to write and organize my thoughts. That being said, I don't know if writing late at night is a good idea but oh well we'll give it a shot. When I got home tonight around 11:00 pm, I started to clean my room while listening to music. I don't know why but I find it difficult to sleep in an outrageously messy room.
For the most part, I keep my room pretty clean. But because I have a lot of hobbies it gets pretty crowded pretty quickly. My room is never crispy clean but I know where everything is and I could invite someone over and show them my room without being embarrassed by it's current state. Right now there is a box of cookies on my desk and a couple of notebooks, (I always seem to be writing something down). On top of my dresser is my ukulele and bracelet making kit which I like to play around with while I watch TV. Last but not least we have my art supplies which I keep in a small bucket beside my desk.
Fun fact about me, I'm an arts and craft hoarder. Every scrap of paper is kept for future use. Sometimes that future comes and sometimes it doesn't but regardless of it's destiny no supply get's thrown out unless absolutely necessary. Anyways back to my original point, I got home and started cleaning my room while listening to music. It was then that I realized that I had lost my paper clip ring (It's actually made of this stainless steal metal wire but I refuse to call it something else). I made this ring about two months ago but I had one before when I was 16. It's a little tribute to my favorite book series in which the main character makes his love interest a paper clip ring while he's recovering from a near death accident. My "paper clip ring" is a little too big so I wear it on my thumb but I've grown quite fond of it.
When I first showed it to my mom she laughed at me and said "what, you couldn't wait for someone to make one for you" to which I replied "why would I do that when I know I can do a good job making one myself". Sometimes I fear that I'm a little too self-sufficient, but I'd rather be that than too dependent.
You’re still here? Meet me at entry no.16 :)
